Welcome to our summer round-up, and what a busy summer it's been! As the sun turned the island to an oven, we were kept busy manning the shop, attending the usual spread of festivals, and of course getting out onto the water now and then.
If you follow us on social media you will have spotted the new pictures from our summer shoot, where we hung out in a field of sheep to snap our beautiful new blues. We are so happy to bring you our Blue et Bleu collection, and even happier that the sheep were so easy to work with.
Our Blue et Bleu range uses the same guide thread as our blue and white range, it's just woven differently so it looks like two different blues. We've used a lighter fabric with the same signature feel and quality, and we think it has a more Mediterranean vibe than our classic blues and whites. We have duvet covers, pillow cases and cushions available in this range, and throws are soon to follow.
As for the idyllic shepherd's hut in our shoot, how do we source our locations? Well, our Izzey likes to walk the locale while thinking up great new XV ideas. She spotted the pretty hut in a field and worked up the courage to ask about using it. The owner was happy to loan us the location, as were the sheep in the field, and our top photographer Holly captured the day perfectly. No wonder, as she used to show sheep so was very comfy working with them!
If you want to see our Blue et Bleu range up close, keep track of where we're headed this autumn. Another brilliant outcome from this summer is that XV was selected to take part in Great British Pop-Up Shops (a scheme backed by John Lewis), so you'll find us in the Southampton branch of John Lewis at the end September and November. We were so excited to be chosen, it means a lot to small businesses. We'll have our signature range all set out on a divine big bed, and a few other key pieces too. Please pop by and say hi.
And now we're entering our third year, how to reflect? From a small company selling duvet and pillow covers to an important British player in home-grown luxury homewares, we're proud to furnish your homes in many different ways. Our curtains and blinds are proving ever-popular alongside throws, lampshades and wallpaper. Our inserts are also doing well and, for those allergic to feathers, we will soon have recycled plastic inserts available, so you can make a bespoke choice that's based on your health, not just your design preference.
Happy shopping, sailing and home-building to you all!
